
Leslie A.M. Smith
In 1994 Leslie A.M.
Smith founded McCormick L.A. Public Relations specializing in community
relations. The company specializes in assisting small businesses
in their efforts to serve their communities and maintain sterling
reputations. McCormick L.A. has created and implemented comprehensive public
relations and marketing plans, written and edited newsletters and has
conducted outreach programs for numerous entities including private
enterprise, nonprofits and government agencies.
Prior to
forming McCormick L.A. Public Relations, Ms. Smith served as the
communications director for statewide and local membership
associations. She performed various public relations and community
outreach functions.
Contributing
to the community as a volunteer, Ms. Smith is a past president of the
Junior League of Long Beach where she is still a member and has served on the Board of the
Fairfield Family YMCA, the Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, and is currently a member of Greater Long Beach YMCA's Early Childhood Education board of directors.
She
holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications and a minor in
American Studies from California State University, Fullerton. In 2003 she received a professional writing certificate from CSU Long Beach. She is a trained facilitator and a seasoned presenter. McCormick L.A. has strong relationships with a cadre of public relations professionals to provide a wide spectrum of services.
